Monday, August 4th MCONE Dinner/Lecture: Blood Sugar Issues: Nourishing the Spleen, Pancreas and Stomach. 6:30-9.00pm
In traditional Chinese medicine late summer relates to these organs. Both hypoglycemia and diabetes are common disorders in modern society. Following a delicious dinner, Warren will discuss how to support these important organs and why there are such widespread issues with them. Food, remedies and lifestyle will be discussed.

Adjustments for the Fall actually begin early August, giving our bodies a chance to adapt to the changing weather. This popular seasonal class will give you an idea of what to do to transition smoothly this season, thereby minimizing colds and other symptoms.

Osteoporosis, osteopenia and other bone issues have become increasingly a concern in society. Even though in the US we have the highest consumption of dairy in the world, we still have the highest rates of osteoporosis. Let's really look at what is behind this issue and what we can do about it.

Please join us for our always-popular ethnic theme dinner. These three health issues are practically chronic problems in modern society. There is a very interesting connection between the three of them that Warren will point out. The macrobiotic approach in treating these conditions will be discussed.

Tiredness and fatigue are the number one health complaint in modern society. It is said that all illness begins with fatigue. In this important lecture, Warren explains the cause of our fatigue and how to have more energy for life without relying on coffee and sugar to pick us up. An essential topic for anyone concerned about health.

Wednesday, Sept. 3rd Dinner/Lecture: Strengthening the Lungs and Large Intestine during the Fall . 6:00-8.30pm
This is the time of year that the lungs and large intestine are more active. Issues with these organs often manifest during this season. Upper respiratory issues and elimination problems are common. Tonight we will study how to support these organs. Diagnosing these organs will be discussed as well.

This unique cooking class will give you an idea of how to use the five tastes, colors, texture and cooking styles to make an energetically balanced meal. Applying this theory in cooking not only leads to more satisfying meals, it helps support our health as well.

Questions often come up regarding where certain nutrients are found in the macrobiotic diet. Concerns over lacking certain nutrients, cooking destroying nutrition, supplementation and other issues will be discussed.

Certainly one of our most popular seasonal classes, there is nothing like Autumn cooking in New England. From soup to dessert, Warren will prepare a delicious meal and discuss how to make adjustments in cooking for the season.

Wednesday, Sept. 24th Ethnic Dinner: Greek Cuisine! Understanding the nature of balance 6:00-8:30pm
This month we bring you some delicious Greek cuisine. Please register early for this popular dinner. Balance can be so challenging to find in life especially as modern society is moving so quickly. The largest organ in our body has over 500 functions and is very active discharging during the spring. Numerous health issues are related to imbalances with the liver. Eye trouble, fat metabolism, migraine headaches, irritability, joint issues and many others are all connected to the liver. Specific food, remedies and lifestyle will be discussed for better liver health.

Tuesday, April 8th Hand's On Cooking Class: Mastering Some Essentials in the Kitchen 6:00-8:30pm
Knife sharpening, cutting, toasting, condiment preparation. Here is a great opportunity to refine some essentials skills used in the kitchen. A full meal will be served in addition to practicing these techniques. Please bring a knife, apron and cutting board.

Tuesday, April 15th Cooking Class: Cooking for Kids and the Kid in All of us 6:00-8:30pm
By popular request here is the class to help you prepare delicious, fun dishes even the most finicky child will enjoy. Children have different needs than adults, so we will discuss that in this class. P.S: Adults will love the food too!

Tuesday, April 22nd Cooking Class: Savory Seitan 6:00-8:30pm
Seitan, also known as wheat meat is very high in protein, easy to digest, satisfying and delicious and enjoyed by most men. We will prepare a variety of exciting dishes using seitan to show its versatility. A great transitional food to replace meat or animal protein.

Thursday, April 24th Ethnic Dinner: Indian Night! Lecture: Aging Naturally: slowing down the Aging Process 6:00-8:30pm
Our modern diet and way of life is causing people to age quickly and unnaturally. People eating macrobiotically and living a more natural lifestyle appear 5-7 years younger than their real age. Warren will discuss how to slow down aging and explain how this happens. Learn about the real fountain of youth!

Are you having trouble figuring out what to make for the warmer weather? After a delicious dinner we will work together to plan menus for the warmer season. Menu planning always leads to better balance, more satisfaction and less stress with cooking.

Monday, May 12th MCONE Dinner/Lecture: Detoxify, Cleanse and Discharge: Enhancing the Healing Process. 6:30-9:00pm
Life is a process of taking in and getting rid of what we do not need. If we can't eliminate what we don't use problems develop. Tonight Warren will review the discharge process, what slows it down and what accelerates it. Common side effects of the discharge process will be discussed and what they mean. A must lecture if you are interested in holistic health.

As the weather gets warmer we need to adjust our food choices, cooking and cutting styles as well as seasonings to adapt to the environment. Seasonal adjustment starts 6 weeks before the start of the new season.

Join us for an evening in Japan with a dinner you won't forget. For many years the macrobiotic way has been focused on recovering our health and treating specific conditions. Tonight we will look at how to eat macrobiotically as a healthy person, not eating for illness.

For many people warmer weather means losing their appetite for many healthy foods and less vitality as well. In this popular class, Warren will prepare grain, bean, noodle and vegetable salads that help balance the summer heat and keep you fresh. A great class to help you enjoy your time outdoors.

Tuesday, June 10th Hand's On Cooking Class: Terrific Tofu 6:00-8:30pm
Tofu is one of the most versatile foods in natural foods cooking. Use include: dressings, baked, stir fried, stuffed, marinated, deep-fried, grilled...We will prepare this low-fat high protein bean product numerous ways tonight. Please bring a knife, apron and cutting board to participate.

Wednesday, June 11th Dinner Lecture: The Five Transformations and the use of Home Remedies. 6:00-8:30pm
Also known as the five changing states of energy, it is a dynamic model that enables us to strengthen our connection to nature. Warren will discuss how we can use these principles to prepare home remedies. These various remedies are extremely useful to help correct imbalances in the body like blood sugar, digestion, high cholesterol and others.

Tuesday, June 17th MCONE Dinner/Lecture: Healing the Heart and Small Intestine 6:30-9:00pm
In traditional Chinese medicine the heart and small intestine are paired organs, influencing one another. The heart is our "rhythm keeper" in our life and the small intestine is where we absorb the food we take in. Tonight we will study what interferes with their function as well as how to improve the health of these vital organs during the summer season.

Thursday, June 19th Ethnic Dinner: A Mexican Fiesta! Lecture: Extreme foods and their effects 6:00-8:30pm
By far our most popular dinner theme. We have a fantastic dinner planned for you tonight. In tonight's lecture Warren discusses the nature of living on extreme foods. We will look at how and why these foods lead to poor health and why they are so difficult to balance. Due to the price of fish this class is $5.00 more: $40 prepaid ($45 at the door)
